- was born in Sk, and moved to AB when I was 8 yrs old when my dad was trasferred to Calgary from Saskatoon. As a small child I always wanted to be in the Beauty Industry, I was so fascinated with the hairstyles, make-up and fashions that I saw on TV...even though it was in BLACK and White in those days!! In high school I had the opportunity to take cosmetology (known then as "beauty culture") and I was hooked!! I had my government licence in March of 1977, and my grade 12 graduation followed in June of 1977. I was ready to get out to work!! I had already been out working in a salon since grade the beginning of grade 11 and had a head start! Am Married and have 2 grown children 26 and 24.
